Article: Psych department holds seminar

To inform students about common psychological problems experienced by adolescents, College of Arts and Sciences-Psychology Department conducted a seminar on eating and sexual disorders on February 18, 2010 at Lorma Colleges Audio Visual Room.

Ms. Myla Lucina, psychology instructor, was one of the speakers. She focused on eating disorders, which are most common among ladies. These disorders include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder. To end her topic, she gave considerable tips on how to avoid acquiring these disorders while staying in good shape.

Ms. Lailanie Soriano, another psychology instructor, discussed about sexual disorders that, in turn, are commonly experienced by gentlemen. These are of four categories, namely, sexual desire disorders, arousal disorders, orgasm disorders, and pain disorders.

“The seminar is good; the speakers delivered their topics very well. Their topic is interesting especially to us boys, very informative indeed,” commented Mr. Jestin Lindley Reyes, BSPT1.

Physical therapy and psychology students participated in the said event.
